The Vinyl Wall: The Sound of the Life of the Mind

Wall Worthy because… 
Count me among the many who became transfixed by the music of Ben Folds in college. It was serendipitous timing in my case though, because one year after I began devouring Rockin’ the Suburbs and Whatever and Ever Amen, Ben Folds Five reunited for a new album the first time in 12 years. That album was The Sound of the Life of the Mind – a damn good piece of work that stands up against the rest of the Five’s discography. But the fondest memory I have whenever I listen back was how cool it was to be actively anticipating and following of the journey of a new album from one of my favorite artists in real time after spending so much time as a second generation listener of their previous material.
